This was an awesome article because it tells you why crunches and other exercises can hurt your lower spine by compressing your spinal disks thousands of times to get those great flat beach tummy in the magazines. The best part is that it gives new 2009 exercises that are good for your spine and can give you the same look for less wear and tear on your back. We all know that our joints have a timer built in to them. Some are longer than others but we can have long lasting healthy joints well into old age as long as we work out smarter not harder... well harder too but smarter first!
